Job summary

Innominds Software is seeking an experienced Android Automotive HMI Developer (AAOS) for Chennai to design, build, and maintain production-grade infotainment solutions. The role requires strong Kotlin expertise, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.

You will implement Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi connectivity, IPC via AIDL, and CAN/CAN FD signal integration, delivering responsive HMI experiences in a cross-functional team. 5–8 years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of Android Automotive/HMI experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android patterns.
• Experience with inter-process communication and vehicle interfaces is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-grade AAOS HMI apps for cluster and infotainment using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, MVVM and Clean Architecture.
• Implement and maintain Bluetooth (Classic/BLE) and Wi‑Fi connectivity features, including pairing, GATT, and connection management.
• Develop AIDL/Binder IPC-based services and integrate with system/privileged apps, Vehicle HAL and platform components.
• Build responsive, real-time HMI experiences using Kotlin Coroutines, Flow/StateFlow, and multi-threaded programming techniques.
• Integrate CAN/CAN FD vehicle signals such as speed, battery, telemetry and diagnostics into vehicle HMI apps.
• Troubleshoot performance issues, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with platform, embedded, and QA teams.
