Job summary

TekPillar in Chennai seeks an experienced Android HMI Architect to lead infotainment software design and integration. You will drive architecture and coding standards for production-ready Android-based HMI solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in Automotive HMI with strong C/C++, Linux/QNX exposure and a solid track record in debugging and system-level design.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Automotive HMI/Infotainment development experience.
• Strong expertise in Android Automotive (AAOS/AOSP) and Android Framework.
• Hands-on experience with Kanzi and/or Qt/QML.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++.
• Experience with Linux, QNX, and Android-based embedded platforms.
• Knowledge of HAL, AIDL, HIDL, and JNI.
• Understanding of Software Architecture, Design Patterns, and System-Level Debugging.
• Excellent technical leadership, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HMI Architecture for Automotive Infotainment systems.
• Lead Android-based HMI solution design and integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, testing, and program teams to deliver production-ready software.
• Define architecture guidelines, coding standards, and mentor development teams.
• Evaluate new technologies and support technical discussions with customers.
• Analyze crash logs, ANR, logcat, kernel logs, and tombstones to resolve complex issues.
• Ensure software follows design patterns, architectural best practices, and Agile methodologies.
