Job description

In this role, you will review and reconcile investment accounts, resolve trade and corporate action discrepancies, and support global operations through continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile Fixed Income & Equity SMA accounts/portfolios, including corporate bonds, municipals, treasuries, equities, and structured products.
• Perform client‑level reconciliation for cash and positions between Invesco portfolio account systems and various custodian accounts.
• Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, brokers, and custodians to resolve trade discrepancies and corporate action discrepancies (e.g., stock splits, refunds, spin‑offs, bonuses).
• Monitor and report cash and position discrepancies in a timely manner to the trading desk.
• Identify and resolve individual account discrepancies accurately to ensure systems readiness for trading.
• Maintain and update procedures for the Trade Operations & Middle Office Reconciliation Global mailbox on a monthly basis.
• Proactively identify potential operational risks, propose mitigation strategies, and lead their implementation.
• Ensure all emails in the Global mailbox are routed correctly and items are handled accurately.
• Guide team members to prioritize work and promote independent completion of tasks.
• Ensure timely completion of critical end‑of‑day reports such as trade allocations, file saving, and email handling.
• Foster a communicative and collaborative team environment, demonstrating leadership in process management and team building.
• Work full‑time night shifts to support global operations in the USA and provide support during overtime and off‑hours as needed.
• Participate in business continuity and recovery testing as scheduled by management.
• Communicate with traders, client service teams, brokers, and custodians to investigate and resolve trade‑related queries through proactive outreach.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Investment Operations.
• Excellent knowledge of global investment products and strong understanding of SMA processes and the full trade lifecycle.
• Proven team player with excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Open‑minded, flexible, and willing to listen to others’ opinions.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
• Good understanding of quality and process improvement concepts.
• Academic requirement: MBA or a professional qualification with Finance as the major specialization.
