Job summary

DXC Technology Inc. is seeking an API Developer to build RESTful services using Spring MVC and Spring Boot in Java 1.8. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CS/CE and 2–5 years of Java/J2EE experience, with strong REST API knowledge and familiarity with Maven/Gradle and Git.

You will work in an Agile team, emphasize clean code, design patterns like SOLID and DI, and contribute to scalable, high-performance solutions. AWS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of programming experience in Java 1.8 and J2EE.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Framework 4.x (Core, MVC, REST, HATEOAS) and REST API development.
• Experience with build tools Maven/Gradle and with Git.
• Familiarity with debugging, design patterns, and DI/SOLID principles.
• Understanding of REST API development and cloud basics (AWS a plus).

At least 2 – 5 programming experience in Java 1.8, J2EE, Spring Framework 4.x(Core, MVC, REST, HATEOAS), Microservices, Swagger, Junit, Mockito, Hibernate/MyBatis.4. Hands on experience in one of the build tools like Maven, Ant or gradle is required5. Hands on experience with IDEs like Eclipse, Visual Studio is required6. Excellent debugging and coding skills are desirable7. Well aware of design patterns and design principles like SOLID, Singleton, Dependency Injection etc.8. Understanding of REST API Development using Spring or any other framework is a must.9. Experience with cloud technologies like AWS will be an added advantage.10. Experience in code integration repository like GIT and Agile Development Practices11. Experience implementing high-performance, reusable application development is required12.
