Job summary

DXC Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Java/J2EE developer to design, develop, and optimize large-scale applications. The role emphasizes hands-on coding, architectural alignment, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Spring, Hibernate, REST services, and cloud/dockers. You will contribute to performance engineering and work within a fast-paced environment at our India delivery centers.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on Core Java/J2EE development experience.
• Experience in software development lifecycle and Use Case Definition, Design and Implementation.
• Strong understanding of MVC, Spring, Hibernate, Webservices, REST APIs.
• Knowledge of J2EE Application Platform Configuration & Performance Optimization.
• Experience with AWS Cloud and Dockerized containers.
• Experience with Webservices/REST, AngularJS, and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring tools (e.g., JProfiler, VisualVM, Glowroot).
• Ability to lead large teams and coordinate multiple stakeholders in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain large-scale Java/J2EE applications.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to align requirements and solutions.
• Lead design sign-off and coordinate with developers, testers, architects, and BAs.
• Work with AWS Cloud and containerized environments (Docker).

Job Profile/Key Responsibilities

• Excellent hands-on Core Java/Advanced Java/J2EE development experience
• Hands-on experience in Software Development process (Requirements Gathering and Use Case Definition, Design, and Implementation of the software solution)
• Experienced & understands architectural principles and frameworks (MVC, Spring, Hibernate, Webservices, REST APIs are mandatory).
• Has thorough knowledge of the J2EE Application Platform Configuration & Performance Optimization.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to ensure alignment of requirements and solutions and to facilitate design sign-off and approvals
• Experienced on working on AWS Cloud including Dockerized Containers
• Experienced in Webservices/REST services; AngularJS based applications & REST APIs Experienced in handling performance issues related to multithreading/multiprocessing
• Experienced on troubleshooting performance issues using various monitoring & analysis tools like VisuvalVM, JProfiler, Glowroot, etc. Good if the candidate has hands-on Dynatrace experience. Provides subject matter expertise in performance monitoring, tuning, analysis and diagnostics. Evaluates and researches emerging performance tuning methodologies, monitoring tools, processes, and technologies.
• Develop and promote processes, best practices, and standards in Performance Engineering
• Good Experience in Oracle/SQL Server database and SQL
• Proven industry experience of building large scale systems and with hands-on engineering skills
• Ability to manage diverse teams of at least 15-20 members and coordinate with developers / testers / architects / BAs and other stakeholders effectively
• Experience with Agile development methodologies, specifically Scrum and running all Scrum events (Daily Standups; Sprint Planning; Sprint Retrospective; etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead and coordinate with testers / architects and other stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with peers in planning and coordination of work activities
