Job summary

Thomas & Brian in Mumbai seeks a qualified professional to manage end-to-end Accounts Payable, ensuring compliance with statutory dues such as GST and TDS. This role involves monitoring cash flows, preparing financial reports, and handling fixed asset accounting.

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, coupled with 3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge in taxation, vendor reconciliation, and ERP/accounting software is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable, vendor payments, and invoice verification.
• Ensure timely compliance with payments related to GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and salaries.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare financial reports to support business operations.
• Handle fixed asset accounting, including asset register maintenance and compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors for finalization of accounts and audits.
• Conduct cost analysis to improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Lead and supervise the Accounts team, ensuring accuracy and team development.

Job description

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable, vendor payments, invoice verification, reconciliations, and expense reimbursements.
• Ensure timely compliance and payments related to GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Income Tax, salaries, and other statutory dues.
• Monitor cash flow, banking operations, utility payments, and prepare financial reports to support smooth business operations.
• Handle fixed asset accounting including asset register maintenance, depreciation, physical verification, and compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors for finalization of accounts, resolve audit queries, and support financial controls.
• Conduct cost analysis to improve manufacturing efficiency and optimize working capital.
• Lead and supervise the Accounts team, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and team development.

Job/Knowledge Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Thorough with statutory compliance of deduction and collection of taxes viz GST, TDS, Professional tax etc.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing industry.
