Shell Infotech is urgently seeking an experienced SQL Server Production Support Engineer for a Bangalore-based role. 8–12 years of experience, BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent, with hands-on SSIS and strong production support skills, is required. The role involves a 75% production support split and 25% development work.

The position is full-time and located in Bangalore (WFO). Expect RCA, incident management, and deployment support as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in SQL Server Production Support with hands-on SSIS experience.
• BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent degree required.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills in SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2/L3 support for SQL Server databases and SSIS applications.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, ETL failures, data load issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze and resolve SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database issues.
• Perform RCA and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor SQL Server jobs and ETL processes in production.

Job Description

We are looking for a strong SQL Server & SSIS professional with hands-on L1, L2, and L3 Production Support experience. This role is primarily focused on supporting critical production applications and ETL processes, with a mix of development and enhancement activities.

Role Split

75% Production Support
25% Development & Enhancements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2/L3 support for SQL Server databases and SSIS applications.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, ETL failures, data load issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze and resolve SQL query, stored procedure, function, trigger, and database-related issues.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor SQL Server jobs, ETL processes, and production environments.
• Coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve issues within SLA timelines.
• Support deployments, releases, and post-release validations.
• Enhance and optimize existing SQL code and SSIS packages.
