Job summary

Sonata Software is seeking a strong SQL Server & SSIS professional with hands-on L1-L3 production support experience to maintain critical production applications and ETL processes.

The role involves troubleshooting incidents, optimizing queries, monitoring jobs, and coordinating with business and technical teams to meet SLAs. Exposure to Power BI is a plus, with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS in production support environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex ETL issues and optimize SQL queries for performance.
• Experience in incident management, RCA, and coordinating fixes within SLA timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2/L3 support for SQL Server databases and SSIS applications.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, ETL failures, data load issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze and resolve SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Perform RCA and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor SQL Server jobs, ETL processes, and production environments.
• Coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve issues within SLA timelines.
• Support deployments, releases, and post-release validations.
• Enhance and optimize existing SQL code and SSIS packages.

We are looking for a strong SQL Server & SSIS professional with hands-on L1, L2, and L3 Production Support experience. This role is primarily focused on supporting critical production applications and ETL processes, with a mix of development and enhancement activities.

Role Split

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2/L3 support for SQL Server databases and SSIS applications.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, ETL failures, data load issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Analyze and resolve SQL query, stored procedure, function, trigger, and database-related issues.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
• Monitor SQL Server jobs, ETL processes, and production environments.
• Coordinate with business and technical teams to resolve issues within SLA timelines.
• Support deployments, releases, and post-release validations.
• Enhance and optimize existing SQL code and SSIS packages.

Preferred Background

• SSIS Developer with Production Support experience
• SQL Developer with strong Support experience

Power BI-centric profiles are not preferred unless they have strong SQL Server and SSIS Production Support experience.
