Job Title: Server Administrator (L2 Support)

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Server Administrator to manage and support our IT infrastructure, focusing on SQL Server and related technologies. The role involves configuring, maintaining, and optimizing database servers, monitoring system health, and providing 24x7 support for critical systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
2. Monitor system health and performance.
3. Ensure high performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
4. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real-time.
5. Provide suggestions for solutions and automate regular processes.
6. Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
7. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployments after hours.
8. Support high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

Minimum Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of experience in administration tasks related to databases.
• 6 to 9 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role.
• Experience with MySQL Server Administration.
• Proficiency in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO).
• Knowledge of backups, restores, and recovery models.
• Experience with Windows Server, including Active Directory.
• Sense of ownership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MCTS, MCITP, and/or MVP certifications.
• Knowledge of ITIL v3 processes and service management tools.
• Willingness to work on call and 24x7 support.
• Azure PaaS knowledge is a plus.
