Job summary

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling is seeking a SQE Engineer II in Pune to support supplier audits, development projects, and PPAP documentation. You will ensure supplier understanding of HYG specifications and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement at supplier sites.

Key tasks include applying PFMEA, SPC, 8D and other automotive quality tools, coordinating NPIs and prototyping, and maintaining on-time delivery of PPAP parts while collaborating with internal customers across functions.

• Support the Supplier audits and assessment related to selection and finalization of new source.
• Support Supplier development project by ensuring new technology, process introduction and have networking with all the internal customer to get approval and have flawless part launch.
• Ensures Supplier understanding and compliance with HYG specifications, processes and procedures.
• Qualify External Process Capability and Capacity for New Product Introductions - PPAP/ Run @ Rate
• Supports and validates application of automotive Quality tools & techniques (PFMEA, SPC, 8D, 7 QC tools etc.)
• Supports on-time availability of interim deliveries such as NPI, prototypes etc.
• Ensures on-time availability of complete PPAP documentation and parts
• Manages & support potential deviations through interim PPAP and works on timely resolution
• Support for permanent corrective actions addressing supplier incidents throughout the process as required.
• Perform & support periodic process audits at supplier sites, Report audit rating, identify areas of risk, observations and improvement opportunities and Track gap closure.
• Monitors supplier performance metrics and deploys improvement plans accordingly
• Assists HYG Plant Quality with purchased component non-conformities and drives resolution plans as needed
• Actively ensures deployment of lessons learnt and best practices at Supplier and shares across the Commodity

Experience required:-

• Technical background in automotive, off highway, Material handling industry preferably in Electrical components development.
• Knowledge of electrical components, systems, and industry standards.
• Manufacturing/Production process awareness.
• Ability to understand drawings and technical specifications
• Awareness in Product & Process Auditing
• Problem solving, analytical skills with a logical and methodical approach.
• Fluent spoken and written English
