Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute supplier audits and assessments for selection and finalization of new sources.
• Support supplier development projects by introducing new technologies and processes with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure supplier understanding and compliance with HYG specifications, processes, and procedures.
• Qualify supplier process capability and capacity for NPI through PPAP and Run @ Rate.
• Validate and support PPAP documentation and parts.
• Manage and support deviation approvals through interim PPAP and ensure timely closure.
• Support permanent corrective actions for supplier-related issues across the lifecycle.
• Conduct periodic process audits at supplier sites, including audit reporting and tracking of closures.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Travel approximately 30–40% to supplier sites.

Job description

Job Profile:

Execute supplier audits and assessments for the selection and finalization of new sources. Support supplier development projects by facilitating the introduction of new technologies and processes, while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth approvals and flawless part launches. Ensure supplier understanding and compliance with HYG specifications, processes, and procedures. Qualify external supplier process capability and capacity for New Product Introduction (NPI) through PPAP and Run @ Rate. Validate and support the effective application of automotive quality tools and techniques such as PFMEA, SPC, 8D, and the 7 QC tools. Ensure on-time availability of interim deliverables, including prototypes and NPI parts. Drive timely submission and approval of complete PPAP documentation and parts. Manage and support deviation approvals through interim PPAP and ensure timely closure. Support implementation of permanent corrective actions for supplier-related issues across the lifecycle. Conduct and support periodic process audits at supplier sites, including audit reporting, risk identification, and tracking of closure actions. Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Support plant quality teams in resolving purchased component non-conformities and ensure robust resolution plans. Promote deployment of lessons learned and best practices across suppliers and within the commodity. This role involves approximately 30–40% travel.

Experience required:

Understanding of manufacturing and production processes. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Awareness of product and process auditing methodologies.
