Job summary

APL Logistics in Hyderabad is seeking a middleware specialist to install, tune and support enterprise middleware across production systems. You will collaborate with developers and end users to ensure high availability and robust performance of critical applications.

You will mentor peers, drive implementation standards, and manage third-party partners to deliver reliable middleware services in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Provide L2 Middleware support in production IT environment.
• 3-5 years handling enterprise Middleware technologies in production.
• Experience in planning and delivering projects on schedule.
• Experience with enterprise middleware and cloud technologies.
• Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning and reporting.
• Troubleshooting infrastructure and middleware problems.
• Experience liaising with third party system integrators and vendors.
• Experience with high availability and clustered systems.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Install and implement the solution for middleware technologies to meet business demands including performance tuning, upgrades, clustering, redundancy and disaster recovery.
• Provide subject matter expertise and represents the highest level of technical escalation for middleware technologies.
• Consult with and serve as liaison for end users and application developers in the support of mission critical applications.
• Ensure appropriate standards and procedures are adhered to, and develop and implement standards for installation, maintenance and enhancement of middleware platforms to support quality deliverables.
• Clearly articulate design trade-offs of availability, performance, interoperability and costs to both technical and executive audiences regarding middleware
• Provide guidance and cross training to other members in the team.

Experience

• Provide L2 Middleware support
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a production IT environment managing enterprise Middleware technologies (AWS MQ, IBM MQ/MQFTE, Apache Tomcat, Web services and Application Servers, IBM WTX).
• Experience in executing projects, including planning and implementing short-term and long-term work plans and successfully completing projects on schedule.
• Experience in implementing enterprise middleware and Cloud technologies.
• Experience with application and middleware performance tuning, capacity planning and reporting.
• Practical experience troubleshooting infrastructure and middleware problems.
• Experience in managing and dealing with third party system integrators and solution providers.
• Experience working with clustered systems and high availability systems.
