Job summary

Bahwan CyberTek is seeking an experienced professional to manage middleware and cloud environments. You will optimize IBM MQ, WebSphere Liberty, and Tomcat across on-premises and GCP, while implementing scalable CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Your role includes monitoring performance with Grafana/New Relic, enforcing security practices, and collaborating with development and ops teams to ensure smooth deployments.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience with middleware, cloud infra, and DevOps practices.
• Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer are a plus.
• Experience in on-premises and cloud-based deployments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize middleware platforms such as IBM MQ, WebSphere Liberty, Tomcat, or similar.
• Install, configure, and maintain middleware in on-premises and GCP cloud environments.
• Administer MQ systems, clusters, and objects; monitor and resolve related issues.
• Manage cloud infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and Ansible.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain applications and middleware on Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines; integrate middleware into deployment workflows.
• Use Grafana/New Relic to monitor performance and troubleshoot for uptime.
• Ensure security, encryption, access control, and compliance; document processes.

Role & responsibilities

• Middleware Management:
  Manage and optimize middleware platforms such as IBM MQ, Websphereliberty, Tomcat, or similar.
  Install, configure, and maintain middleware solutions in both on-premises and GCP
  Cloud environments.
  Administer & Manage the MQ Systems / Clusters and Objects.
  Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to middleware systems, ensuringoptimal performance and uptime
• Cloud Infrastructure & Automation:
  Manage and automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using tools likeTerraform, Ansible.
  Deploy, configure, and maintain applications and middleware on cloud platforms -Google Cloud Platform
  Implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions that integrate with the middlewareand applications.
  Manage the Oracle Cloud infrastructure for Database & Integration provisioning.CI/CD Pipeline Development & Maintenance:
  Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and ensuresmooth application releases.
  Integrate middleware components into automated deployment workflows for fasterdelivery and continuous integration.
• System Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
  Use monitoring tools such as Grafana, New relic to track performance, availability, andutilization of middleware and cloud infrastructure.
  Analyse logs, performance metrics, and troubleshoot issues to ensure middleware andcloud environments are running optimally.
• Security & Compliance:
  Ensure security best practices for both middleware systems and cloud infrastructure,including identity management, encryption, and secure access control.
  Perform regular upgrades, patches and keep the tools & systems up to date
  Conduct regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industryregulations.
• Collaboration with Development & Operations Teams:
  Work closely with development and operations teams to define requirements, improveapplication deployment processes, and troubleshoot system issues.
  Collaborate with application developers to optimize middleware configurations andperformance in production environments.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:
  Document processes, configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices for middleware and cloud environments.
  Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal teams on cloud infrastructure,
  DevOps practices, and middleware management.

Preferred Candidate Skill:

At least 5 years of experience working with middleware technologies, cloudinfrastructure, and DevOps practices.
Relevant certifications such as Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or similarmiddleware/cloud certifications are a plus.
