Job summary

Headsnminds Consultants is seeking an experienced middleware support engineer in Mumbai to manage Solace and IBM MQ platforms and provide production support. The role requires strong Linux knowledge, 6+ years in support engineering, and a proactive, organized approach to incident management.

You will troubleshoot middleware issues, participate in 24x7 on-call coverage, and ensure consistent monitoring and timely upgrades of environments while maintaining clear incident logs and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Manage Middleware Messaging platforms like Solace and IBM MQ.
• Troubleshoot production middleware issues.
• Contribute to 24x7 support of production environment.
• Problem solving, escalation and incident management.
• Ensure uniform and cohesive monitoring across infrastructures.
• Test and upgrade middleware messaging environments.
• Log, track and analyze metrics.

Required Experience & Skills

• Intermediate to expert level knowledge of Middleware Messaging platforms like Solace, IBM MQ.
• Good knowledge of Linux platform.
• General infrastructure experience working in support engineering role (6+ years).
• Experience in supporting production environments.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Strong practical and commercial sense

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Infrastructure automation implementations using Ansible, Python, Java.
• Experience in a BFSI organization.
• Good time management and prioritization of work tasks.
• Commitment to completion of work tasks, utilization of own initiative to resolve issues.
• Flexible approach to new, disruptive technologies so is able to pick up new skills quickly.
• Technical certifications are welcome.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Manage Middleware Messaging platforms like Solace, IBM MQ.
• Troubleshoot various production Middleware Messaging related issues.
• Contribute to 24 x 7 support of the production environment.
• Problem solving, escalation and incident management.
