Genpact in Kolkata is seeking a Specialist - F&A focused on accounts payable to drive accurate invoice processing, posting transactions, and vendor management.

The role covers AP activities including PO/Non-PO invoices, payment approvals, reconciliations, and process improvements, with night shift in India. A background in accounting and finance is required, with relevant certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, economics, or finance.
• Master’s in Finance.
• Accounts Payable Certification is desirable.
• Professional certifications (CFA/CPA/CTP) are valued.

Responsibilities

• Calculate and post business transactions and process invoices.
• Process PO and Non-PO invoices.
• Review invoices and requisitions for payment approval.
• Ensure quality of AP processes and handle non-standard cases.
• Verify extensions and totals on invoices and apply discounts when possible.
• Prepare voucher listings with invoice details per policy.
• Identify and implement AP improvements.
• Vendor reconciliation and manage vendor payments, GR/IR reconciliations.

Job Description

• Calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
• Process invoices with PO / Non-PO
• Review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
• Ensure quality of AP processes, handling of all not compliant and not standard processes within the country
• Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices (calculating and taking discounts when applicable)
• Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers. Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount and coding per accounting policies and procedures
• Identify & implement AP improvements
• Vendor reconciliation and manage vendor payments cycle, GRIR reconciliations, Vendor advance etc
