Job summary

RGBSI is seeking an experienced sourcing professional in India to lead new supplier development and ensure smooth execution of the placed business.

You will source from media, websites and trade shows for new suppliers, evaluate and grow supplier relationships, identify opportunities to improve gross margins and drive incremental sales, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to mitigate delivery risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical background.
• Candidate must have above 10 years of experience for relevant product categories.
• Understanding of Indian Manufacturing and Vendor landscape.
• Understanding of Supply chain diversification.
• High level of efficiency and proactivity.
• Product Categories- Tools (Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing etc.), Hard goods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow supplier relationships in India for product categories.
• Source from multiple media, websites, trade shows for new suppliers / new products in India region.
• Identify business opportunities and line up feasible suppliers to drive margin improvement and incremental sales.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and provide documentation to assist decision makers.
• Coach suppliers during onboarding to ensure compliance and gather required documents.
• Prepare vendor profiles, SWOT analyses and factory visit reports.
• Maintain supplier information and records such as SBA, RTV, NDA, certifications, etc.
• Assist in arranging trip itineraries and accommodation for supplier visits.
• Daily communication with Supply Chain and project teams for follow-up.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

• Role has equal responsibility of new business development and smooth execution of the placed business.
• Sourcing from multiple media, websites, trade shows for new suppliers / new products in India region.
• Source, evaluate, develop and grow suppliers/manufacturers relationship within product category.
• Identify business opportunity and line up feasible suppliers through validation to drive gross margin improvement, cost competitiveness, PB penetration and incremental sales,
• Organize cost/business comparison sheets and additional supporting documentation to provide a comprehensive analysis on product specifications and cost to assist decision makers (Manager/Product Development Merchants) to present to the Merchant Teams.
• Support PLR/CTR & RBR events & Fair Meetings for merchants.
• Provide coaching to suppliers during the on boarding process to ensure compliance and documents collection: SSK, SBA, RTV, NDA, Financial and Legal certifications, etc.
• Prepare and administer completion of vendor profile, FCQA, SWOT analysis and factory visit reports.
• Maintain existing supplier information, including contact list, signed SBA, RTV, NDA, Financial and Legal certification, company profile, product photo recap, etc.
• File and correctly group new catalogues.
• Prepare agenda for key project conference call and record meeting minutes.
• Assist in the arrangement of trip itineraries and the arrangement of accommodation including hotel booking and transportation.
• Daily communication with Supply Chain, IPR for projects follow up.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Identify risk in delivery, and prepare factory visit plan based on priority, routes easiness and efficiency, prior to and during shipping period.
• Request financial assessment and take actions on factories with High and Medium to High risk, including factory visit and come up with recommendation for risk mitigation.

Minimum Qualifications:
