Job summary

Peoplefy, based in Pune, seeks a seasoned Project Manager with 7+ years of experience in monitoring and controlling complex development projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure quality, cost and time targets, and drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering and product groups.

The role requires travel 30–40% and exposure to diesel engine components such as Cylinder Block, Crankcase, Cylinder Head and related parts. An engineering degree or MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years in project management or equivalent in automotive/industrial sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Automation or MBA.
• Willingness to travel 30–40% of time.
• Experience with diesel engine components preferred (Cylinder Block, Crankcase, Cylinder Head, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and control development projects with team building and resource management.
• Prepare project plans and initiate corrective actions as needed for quality, cost, and schedule.
• Achieve technical, economic and time project goals.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams and plan tasks with departments.
• Provide project planning data for cross-company multi-project planning.

• Lead weekly project team meetings and document project status.
• Ensure contractual compliance and maintain supplier agreements database.
• Travel 30–40% of working time as required.
• Acquire sourcing records and experience in engine components and related parts.
• Support decision making for project coordination activities.

Job Description-

• Planning, monitoring and control of development projects including team building and resource management.
• Preparation of project plans and initiation of corrective actions in case of deviation from the project goals in terms of quality, cost and time.
• Responsibility for the achievement of technical, economic and time project goals.
• Coordination of the interdisciplinary project team including task planning in coordination with the specialist departments.
• Provision of project-specific planning data for cross-company multi-project planning.
• Initialization, control and monitoring of project-related risk and change management.
• Management and moderation of the weekly project team meeting.
• Preparation of the project documentation and the reporting system in the project to the product group and, if necessary, product line management.
• Ensure Statutory compliances on various requirements of user plants, completeness of Contracts and Agreements with Suppliers and maintain database.
• Required to be travelled approx. 30 - 40% of your working time.
• Sourcing records of accomplishment and experience in Diesel Engine Components mainly in critical parts like Cylinder Block / Crankcase, Cylinder Head, Crankshaft, Connecting rod, Housings and various other engine parts. With 10~12 years
