Based in Delhi / NCR, the role requires an engineering background in Electrical or Electronics and a techno-commercial mindset to build robust supplier ecosystems, drive cost optimization, ensure BIS/BEE compliance, and sustain production.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in Electrical or Electronics is mandatory.
• 13–15 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor development.
• Experience within Fans, SDA, or Consumer Electricals preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BIS standards and BEE star-rating mandates.
• Proven mastery in should-cost analysis, contract management, and ARCs.

Role Overview

Khaitan India Ltd. is looking for an experienced and technically proficient Sourcing Manager to head strategic procurement, OEM/ODM vendor development, and component sourcing across our Fans and Home Appliances categories, based out of Delhi / NCR.

The role demands a techno-commercial leader holding an engineering background in Electrical or Electronics. The incumbent will be responsible for building robust supplier ecosystems, driving cost-optimization initiatives, managing contract manufacturing partners (OEM/ODM), and ensuring supplier compliance with national quality and safety standards (BIS, BEE, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Development: Identify, evaluate, audit, and onboard reliable OEM/ODM partners, component vendors, and raw material suppliers across domestic and international manufacturing hubs.
• Cost Engineering & Negotiation: Drive target costing, should-cost modeling, and commercial negotiations for components (motors, stampings, copper/aluminum windings, PCBAs, plastic injection-molded parts, heating elements, sheet metal) and finished goods to maximize gross margins.
• OEM / ODM Management: Manage end-to-end commercial contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), capacity planning, and lead-time adherence with third-party manufacturers.
• Technical & Quality Alignment: Collaborate with R&D, product design, and quality assurance teams to ensure sourced components and finished goods meet engineering specifications, BIS standards, and BEE star-rating mandates.
• Supply Chain Risk Mitigation: Develop multi-sourcing strategies to de-risk single-source dependencies, ensure material availability, and maintain continuity of production and stock replenishment.
• Process Governance & Supplier Performance: Conduct regular vendor performance reviews covering delivery reliability (OTIF), quality rejection rates (PPM), and overall commercial adherence.

Candidate Profile

• Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering is mandatory. Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPM, CPSM, CSCP) or an MBA in Operations is an added advantage.
• Industry Experience: 13–15 years of solid experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor development strictly within Fans, Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), or Consumer Electricals.
• Preferred Companies: Prior work experience with leading brands such as Havells, Orient, Crompton, Bajaj Electricals, or Sujata etc. will be strongly preferred.
• Technical Acumen: Strong working knowledge of electrical components (BLDC/induction motors, windings, PCBAs, thermostats), injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and appliance testing standards.
• Commercial Expertise: Proven mastery in should-cost analysis, price breakdown structures, contract management, and annual rate contracts (ARCs).
• Location & Travel: Based in Delhi / NCR with readiness to travel extensively across key manufacturing and component clusters in Northern and Western India.
