Job summary

Skyleaf Consultants is seeking a Sourcing Manager in Mumbai with 5+ years of FMCG/Personal Care experience to drive third-party manufacturing and vendor management.

You will lead production planning, sourcing and commercial negotiations, manage fragrances, formulations and packaging materials, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring cost effectiveness and supply continuity across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in FMCG, Personal Care, Cosmetics or related industries.
• Experience in sourcing, procurement, production planning or third-party manufacturing.
• Experience in personal care, fragrances, talcum or similar products is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop third-party manufacturers (3Ps) and suppliers.
• Prepare monthly production plans and weekly SKU-wise production schedules.
• Coordinate with manufacturers to ensure timely production and delivery.
• Plan raw material and packaging requirements and ensure availability.
• Source and manage vendors for fragrances, formulations and packaging materials.
• Manage packaging components such as bottles, caps, pumps, labels and cartons.
• Identify and onboard new third-party manufacturers and vendors.
• Negotiate conversion costs, MOQ, pricing, capacity, payment terms and contracts.
• Support new product development (NPD), trials and product launches.
• Monitor vendor performance on cost, quality, delivery and service.
• Develop alternate suppliers to ensure supply continuity.
• Drive cost savings, productivity and value engineering initiatives.

About the Role

• Strong experience in sourcing, procurement, production planning or third-party manufacturing.
• Experience in personal care, fragrances, talcum or similar products will be preferred.
• Good understanding of vendor management, inventory, capacity planning and supply chain.
• Experience in NPD sourcing and commercial negotiations is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
