Job summary

Nat Habit is a growing natural personal care company seeking a procurement specialist to source and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials and packaging used in our cosmetics and personal care formulations. You will evaluate quotations, negotiate costs, ensure on-time delivery, and collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production to align with brand needs.

The role requires knowledge of regulatory standards, risk management, and experience with vendor management, import/export, and ERP

Qualifications

• Experience sourcing raw materials and packaging for cosmetics/personal care.
• Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Understanding of quality and regulatory standards (FDA, BIS, etc.).
• Familiarity with import/export processes and lead time management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office tools.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, proactive problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop reliable RM & PM suppliers for cosmetics/personal care formulations.
• Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate costs, ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production to identify new ingredients or packaging innovations.
• Conduct market research to identify new vendors and sustainable alternatives.
• Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers for samples, specifications, and data sheets.
• Maintain vendor database, purchase orders, and sourcing documentation.
• Support cost optimization and NPD initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and develop reliable suppliers for raw materials (RM) and packaging materials (PM) used in personal care formulations.
• Evaluate and negotiate supplier quotations, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to identify new ingredients or packaging innovations aligned with brand needs.
• Conduct regular market research to identify new vendors, materials, and sustainable alternatives.
• Manage supplier performance based on quality, delivery timelines, service, and compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers for material samples, specifications, and technical data sheets (TDS, COA, MSDS, etc.).
• Ensure packaging materials meet brand design, sustainability, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain and update vendor database, purchase orders, and sourcing documentation.
• Support cost optimization and new product development (NPD) initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical sourcing, and environmental compliance standards.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of raw materials and packaging used in cosmetics/personal care.
