Job summary

Kimirica Hunter International, India’s leading hotel amenities manufacturer, seeks a techno-commercial procurement leader blending chemistry expertise with strong commercial acumen. You will drive sourcing of raw materials, negotiate terms, and manage supplier partnerships to support manufacturing across 40+ countries.

The role collaborates with Production, Planning, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Stores to ensure uninterrupted operations and cost-optimized procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Commerce or Supply Chain.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations or Procurement preferred.
• 8–10 years of procurement/sourcing experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, Personal Care or Chemical industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end raw materials sourcing and procurement.
• Apply chemistry knowledge to evaluate material specs and formulations.
• Onboard new suppliers and nurture long-term vendor relationships.
• Negotiate prices, contracts and delivery schedules for optimal outcomes.
• Conduct market analysis on chemical price trends and supply risks.
• Collaborate with R&D and Quality for supplier qualification and material development.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery and responsiveness.

Candidates with R&D experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, or Personal Care industries will be preferred, as this enables sharper evaluation of raw materials and supplier capabilities.

Role Overview

We are seeking a techno-commercial procurement professional to lead the sourcing of raw materials critical to our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical chemistry expertise with strong commercial skills in supplier management, pricing, and negotiations.

This role requires close collaboration with Production, Planning, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Stores to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and cost-optimized procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end sourcing and procurement of raw materials, ensuring timely availability aligned with production schedules.

Apply technical expertise in chemistry to evaluate material specifications, quality standards, and suitability for formulations.

Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers while nurturing long-term vendor relationships.

Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.

Conduct market analysis to monitor chemical price trends, identify alternate sources, and mitigate supply risks.

Partner with R&D and Quality teams for supplier qualification, new material approvals, and alternate material development.

Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and supplier negotiations.

Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and competitiveness.

Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.

Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and supplier performance dashboards for management review.

Techno-Commercial Competencies

Strong understanding of chemistry related to fragrances, surfactants, esters, preservatives, and oils.

Ability to translate technical material requirements into commercial procurement strategies.

Skilled in vendor development, supplier qualification, and alternate material sourcing.

Expertise in chemical pricing trends, cost modeling, and negotiation.

Experience in balancing quality, cost, and delivery timelines without compromise.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Commerce, or Supply Chain.

MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement preferred.

8–10 years of procurement/sourcing experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, Personal Care, or Chemical industries.

Hands-on experience in sourcing chemicals, fragrances, surfactants, esters, preservatives, packaging materials, and oils.

Preference for candidates with prior R&D experience in similar industries, enabling deeper technical evaluation of raw materials.

Strong techno-commercial acumen with proven track record in vendor development and negotiations.
