Job summary

Kish Group in Kolkata is seeking a detail-oriented Sourcing Executive to manage garment trims and accessories procurement. You will identify suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time delivery against approved specs.

Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Quality, and Stores teams to meet FOB/costing targets, maintain supplier databases, and resolve quality or delivery issues with suppliers within strict timelines.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop suppliers for garment trims and accessories per buyer specs.
• Handle sourcing of items like labels, hangtags, buttons, zippers, elastic, tapes and cords.
• Coordinate with Merchandising, Production, Quality and Stores teams.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate terms and finalize suppliers.
• Track trims from sample development to bulk delivery against approved samples.
• Ensure timely delivery of trims meeting quality standards and timelines.
• Maintain supplier and trims database with prices, lead times and specs.
• Negotiate payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and develop suppliers for garment trims and accessories as per buyer requirements and approved specifications.
• Handle sourcing of items such as:
• Labels and hangtags
• Buttons and snaps
• Zippers
• Elastic, tapes, and cords
• Sewing threads
• Packaging materials
• Polybags and cartons
• Woven/printed labels
• Embroidery and printing-related accessories
• Patches, badges, stickers, and other garment accessories
• Identify new suppliers and maintain a strong supplier network for export garment production.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize suppliers.
• Coordinate with the Merchandising, Production, Quality, and Stores teams to understand trim requirements and delivery schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers from sample development to bulk production and final delivery.
• Ensure trims are delivered according to approved samples, specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• Coordinate for trim samples, lab dips, strike-offs, approvals, and pre-production samples, wherever applicable.
• Check and verify supplier quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, price, lead time, and service.
• Maintain an updated supplier and trims database with prices, lead times, specifications, and supplier details.
• Negotiate payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
• Ensure timely availability of trims to avoid delays in garment production and shipment.
• Coordinate with the Stores/Warehouse team for receipt and verification of trims.
• Resolve quality issues, shortages, incorrect supplies, and delivery discrepancies with suppliers.
• Develop cost-effective sourcing strategies while maintaining required quality standards.
• Support the merchandising team in achieving FOB/costing targets through competitive trim sourcing.
• Maintain proper sourcing records and prepare regular purchase and supplier status reports.
• Ensure compliance with buyer-specific requirements and company sourcing procedures.
