Job summary

CT Automotive India is seeking a skilled NPD Sourcing / Purchasing professional to support the Sales/Commercial team during RFQ and new business. You will manage supplier sourcing, cost estimation, quotation analysis and sourcing strategy for new products from Pune.

Responsibilities include BOM/drawings review, supplier RFQs, quotation analysis, and negotiations to achieve target costs. You will coordinate with Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure feasible, timely SOP readiness.

Qualifications

• RFQ and supplier sourcing with cost negotiation experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs and understand manufacturing processes.
• Strong Excel, analytical, communication, and supplier management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support customer RFQ/NPD from RFQ receipt through supplier nomination.
• Review BOM, drawings, specifications and customer requirements and identify suppliers.
• Prepare supplier RFQs, analyse quotations and negotiate to hit target costs.
• Develop should-cost/cost breakdowns for RM, process, labour, scrap, tooling and packaging.
• Identify and develop suppliers for Plastic, Metal, Chrome, Painted and BOP components.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Quality and suppliers.
• Support make/buy, localization, alternate sourcing and VA/VE activities.
• Follow up supplier development, tooling, trials, samples and PPAP until SOP.

This role is Responsible for supporting the Sales/Commercial team during customer RFQ and new business acquisition by managing supplier sourcing, cost estimation, quotation analysis and sourcing strategy for new products.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support customer RFQ/NPD activities from RFQ receipt through supplier nomination.
• Review BOM, drawings, specifications and customer requirements and identify suitable suppliers.
• Prepare supplier RFQs, obtain and analyse quotations, and negotiate to achieve target cost and commercial objectives.
• Develop should-cost / cost breakdowns covering RM, process, labour, scrap, tooling, packaging, freight and supplier margin.
• Identify and develop suppliers for Plastic, Metal, Chrome, Painted and BOP components.
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Quality and suppliers for technical and commercial feasibility.
• Support make/buy, localization, alternate sourcing and VA/VE activities.
• Follow up supplier development, tooling, trials, samples and PPAP activities until SOP

Commodity / Process Knowledge

• Working knowledge of Injection Moulding, Painting, Plastics Raw material, Chrome Plating, Metal Parts, PVC/Vinyl, Plastic & Metal Hardware and Automotive BOP Parts.
• Knowledge of plastic materials such as PP, ABS, PC, PC+ABS and PVC and their cost drivers is preferred.
