Job summary

Compton is seeking a Solution Architect in India to design end-to-end IT solutions that align with customer needs. The role bridges business requirements and technical implementation across infra, networking, cloud, security, and applications.

Responsibilities include creating architecture diagrams, supporting presales with cost estimates, and guiding delivery teams. The candidate should have 2-4 years in IT infrastructure, networking or cloud, with SI exposure and presales experience.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Networking / Cloud / System Integration.
• Prior experience in a System Integrator environment is highly preferred.
• Exposure to presales and solution design is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end IT solutions covering servers, storage, networking, cloud, security and applications.
• Translate customer requirements into technical solutions and create architecture diagrams/docs.
• Support presales with cost estimation, BOQs and solution justification.
• Collaborate with sales, delivery, and vendors to align solutions with standards.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with standards.

Role Purpose

The Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end IT solutions aligned with customer business needs. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions across infrastructure, networking, cloud, security, and applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Architecture
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design end-to-end architecture covering servers, storage, networking, cloud, security, and applications
• Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices
• Create high-level and detailed solution architecture diagrams and documentation
• Presales & Customer Engagement
• Work closely with sales and presales teams during requirement discussions, RFPs, and proposals
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and technical discussions
• Provide technical inputs for BOQs, cost estimation, and solution justification
• Act as a technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders
• Technology Evaluation & Standardization
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and platforms relevant to business needs
• Define standard solution frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices
• Ensure compliance with organizational, customer, and regulatory standards
• Delivery Support
• Support project and delivery teams during implementation
• Resolve complex technical challenges during deployment
• Ensure smooth handover of solution designs to delivery teams
• Validate final implementation against approved architecture
• Collaboration & Documentation
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and partners for solution alignment
• Prepare and maintain technical documents, architecture notes, and solution presentations
• Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers and presales teams

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Virtualization)
• Expertise in Networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Firewall, Switching, Routing)
• Good understanding of Cloud Platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP any one or more)
• Knowledge of Cyber Security concepts and solutions
• Experience with enterprise IT solutions and integration
• Ability to create architecture diagrams, BOMs, and solution documents
