Job summary

JobTrade in Hyderabad, India is seeking a dedicated Soldering Operator to perform manual soldering of electronic components on PCBs, including Through-Hole and SMD. You will assemble products according to drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and quality requirements, while maintaining 5S and clean workstation standards.

You will inspect solder joints, identify defects, and perform rework and corrective actions in collaboration with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PCB soldering experience with SMD and through-hole components.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Capable of identifying solder defects and performing rework.
• Follows ESD and safety procedures and maintains 5S at workstation.

Job Role: Soldering Operator

Job Description

• Perform manual soldering of electronic components on PCBs, including Through-Hole and SMD components.
• Carry out PCB rework, desoldering, component replacement, and repair of defective electronic assemblies.
• Assemble electronic products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, BOMs, and quality requirements.
• Inspect solder joints and assembled PCBs for defects such as insufficient solder, solder bridges, cold joints, lifted pads, and component misalignment.
• Identify soldering and assembly defects and perform appropriate rework and corrective actions.
• Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), safety, and proper component-handling procedures.
• Operate soldering stations, soldering irons, hot-air/rework stations, and other related equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform visual inspections and quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specified workmanship standards.
• Maintain proper 5S, cleanliness, and organization of the workstation and production area.
• Communicate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve assembly and rework issues.
• Complete production, inspection, and rework records accurately.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve production targets and quality standards.
