Job summary

CIEL HR in Pune is seeking an AC & Earthing Technician for rooftop solar projects. You will handle complete AC-side installation, wiring from inverter to LT panel, and ensure proper earthing and safety compliance.

Role requires reading SLDs, basic AC troubleshooting, and coordinating with project teams. Willingness to travel to site locations and to work at rooftop installations is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have ITI or Diploma in electrical trades with hands-on rooftop electrical experience.
• Minimum 2+ years in AC/electrical work; solar experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• AC wiring from inverter to LT Panel / MDB.
• Install earthing: Lightning Arrester, Equipment/Body Earthing, DC Earthing.
• Cable laying, gland dressing, and cable termination.
• Install ACDB, LT Panels, and protection systems.
• Test earthing resistance with appropriate tools.
• Follow safety standards, PPE, and shutdown protocols.
• Coordinate with DISCOM teams during grid connection when required.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic AC/electrical faults at site.

AC & EARTHING TECHNICIAN

Specialization: AC Electrical Work

Role Summary

Responsible for complete AC-side installation, electrical wiring, and earthing work for rooftop solar systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and grid readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• AC wiring from inverter to LT Panel / MDB
• Installation of proper earthing systems:
  • Lightning Arrester (LA) Earthing
  • Equipment/Body Earthing
  • DC Earthing
• Cable laying, gland dressing, and cable termination
• Installation of ACDB, LT Panels, and protection systems
• Testing and measuring earthing resistance using appropriate tools
• Follow all electrical safety standards, PPE requirements, and shutdown protocols
• Coordinate with DISCOM teams during grid connection, whenever required
• Identify and troubleshoot basic AC/electrical faults at site

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring and earthing systems
• Ability to understand and read Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Basic AC electrical troubleshooting skills
• Good knowledge of electrical safety practices
