Job summary

People, Jobs, and News is seeking a senior solar design engineer in Chennai to lead design efforts for ground-mounted and rooftop PV projects. You will perform system sizing, develop single-line diagrams, and connection diagrams, and 3-D renderings using CAD and PVsyst, while ensuring grid compliance and accurate BOMs.

The role requires BE in Electrical or Mechanical and 10+ years of industry experience. You will collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to deliver

• Perform accurate system sizing calculations
• Create connection diagrams for solar electric systems, using CAD/PVsyst
• Structural Design for Solar Mounting structures
• Pre-Visualization of Projects
• Energy Yield Assessment report
• Cost & Performance Analysis
• Develop optimal designs with SLD, PML, conduit and wire scheduling
• Building detailed bills of materials based on system specifications
• Preparation of Techno-commercial proposal
• Detailed Project report
• Project costing & Budgeting
• Coordination with management team to develop complete proposal packages
• Work across functionally with sales, project management and installation teams
• Assurance for the internal deadlines
• Troubleshoot design and construction issues in the field
• Organizing training session, mentoring team members and providing constructive feedback
