Job summary

Fox Energy is seeking a Solar PV Design Engineer to lead the design of ground-mounted solar projects. You will prepare PVsyst analyses, energy yield calculations, and detailed layouts to translate concepts into buildable systems.

You will also create electrical drawings, BOMs, and material specifications, while coordinating with project teams to ensure code-compliant, efficient designs for MW-scale deployments.

Job description

• Design and develop ground-mounted solar PV systems from concept to execution.
• Prepare PVsyst reports, energy yield calculations and system simulations.
• Prepare detailed Solar PV layouts, SLDs, electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Prepare piling layouts, pile marking drawings and foundation-related designs.
• Design and review module mounting structures for ground-mounted solar projects.
• Prepare accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) for solar projects.
• Perform module, inverter, transformer and other equipment selection based on project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project, Electrical, Procurement and Execution teams for design implementation.
• Review site conditions, land layouts and technical requirements and incorporate them into the design.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable technical standards, project specifications and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors and consultants for structural and technical requirements.
• Prepare and revise drawings based on site requirements and execution feedback.
• 3+ years of experience in Solar PV Design, preferably in ground-mounted/captive solar projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with PVsyst.
• Knowledge of solar plant layout, piling, MMS/structure design and BOM preparation.
• Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD and other solar design tools.
• Understanding of DC/AC systems, module configuration, inverter sizing and electrical design.
• Ability to read and prepare engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working on MW-scale solar projects will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in ground-mounted solar EPC / solar park projects will be given preference.
