Job summary

Shashwath Solution in Pune is seeking a Software Tester (Fresher to 1 year) to join our QA team. The role focuses on manual testing, review of requirements, and creating test cases to ensure software quality.

Exposure to SDLC/STLC, issue tracking with JIRA or Bugzilla is a plus, with training available for Python/Selenium automation. You will collaborate with developers and participate in team meetings to drive quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Fresher to 1 year of experience in software testing (manual testing knowledge is mandatory).
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manual testing: understand and analyse software requirements to develop and execute manual test cases.

• 1. Manual Testing:
  • Understand and analyse software requirements to develop and execute manual test cases.
  • Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure software quality.
  • Identify and document software defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• 2. Test Documentation:
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
  • Log defects using issue-tracking tools and collaborate with the development team for resolution.
• 3. Automation Testing (Preferred):
  • Assist in the design and execution of automated test scripts using Python and Selenium (training will be provided if needed).
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the test automation framework.
• 4. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with development teams to understand project requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Participate in team meetings to provide insights on quality improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Fresher to 1 year of experience in software testing (manual testing knowledge is mandatory).
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC).
