Job summary

Shashwath Solution is seeking a detail‑oriented QA tester to join our team in India. The role covers manual testing, creating test plans, and collaborating with developers to ensure software quality.

Familiarity with SDLC/STLC and issue trackers is expected, with a preference for automation exposure in Python and Selenium. The candidate should be a fresher to 1 year into software testing, possess strong communication skills, and be eager to learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Fresher to 1 year of experience in software testing (manual testing knowledge is mandatory)
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC)
• Knowledge of issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manual Testing: Understand and analyse software requirements to develop and execute manual test cases.
• Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing to ensure software quality.
• Identify and document software defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
• Test Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
• Log defects using issue-tracking tools and collaborate with the development team for resolution.
• Automation Testing (Preferred): Assist in the design and execution of automated test scripts using Python and Selenium (training will be provided if needed).
• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the test automation framework.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to understand project requirements and ensure quality standards are met.
• Participate in team meetings to provide insights on quality improvements.
