Job summary

Expleo invites professionals to join as a QA tester focused on mobile banking and digital banking applications. You will validate end-to-end flows, perform functional and integration testing across Finacle core banking and backend systems, and support API testing with Postman/Swagger.

You will log defects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure release readiness. The role emphasizes testing across onboarding, payments, wallets, and transaction flows, with strong exposure to payment

Qualifications

• 3-9 years of software testing experience in financial services or related industries.
• Strong understanding of payment domains such as NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, and UPI.
• Experience with STLC (Software Test Life Cycle) methodology.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements, specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for mobile banking, core banking, and payment bank apps.
• Perform functional testing across onboarding, login, account services, fund transfers, bill payments, wallet features, and transaction flows.
• Validate end-to-end integration between mobile apps, Finacle core banking, backend systems, payments, and third-party apps.
• Conduct core banking functional testing in Finacle for account, customer, transaction, and payment workflows.
• Execute integration testing across front-end apps, APIs, middleware, core banking, databases, and downstream systems.
• Support API testing using Postman or Swagger for request/response validation and error handling.
• Use SQL for backend data validation, balance checks, and reconciliation support.
• Prepare test scenarios, cases, data, execution evidence, defect logs, and test closure artifacts.
• Perform smoke, sanity, regression, and system integration testing; support UAT and production sanity testing.
• Log, track, retest, and close defects in JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools; participate in defect triage calls.

Role & responsibilities

Understand business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for mobile banking, core banking, and payment bank applications.
Perform functional testing of multiple mobile banking applications across customer onboarding, login, account services, fund transfers, bill payments, wallet/payment features, beneficiary management, mini statement, transaction history, and service request flows.
Validate end-to-end integration between mobile banking applications, Finacle core banking, backend systems, payment services, and third-party applications.
Perform core banking functional testing in Finacle for account-related, customer-related, transaction-related, and payment-related workflows.
Conduct integration testing across front-end mobile applications, APIs, middleware, core banking, backend databases, and downstream systems.
Support API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger for request/response validation, status codes, error messages, business rules, and integration scenarios.
Use SQL queries for backend data validation, transaction verification, account balance checks, status updates, and reconciliation support.
Prepare test scenarios, test cases, test data, execution evidence, defect logs, and test summary reports for assigned modules.
Perform smoke testing, sanity testing, regression testing, system integration testing, UAT support, and production sanity testing.
Support testing of payment flows including fund transfer, account debit/credit, transaction posting, reversals, failed transactions, and exception scenarios.
Perform basic ATM testing activities covering transaction validation, balance enquiry, cash withdrawal, mini statement, PIN-related flows, transaction response, and host/core banking posting validation.
Log, track, retest, and close defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar defect management platforms.
Participate in defect triage calls and coordinate with development, business, product, operations, and integration teams for timely issue resolution.
Provide QA status updates, test execution progress, defect metrics, blockers, risks, and release readiness inputs to QA leads and project stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation of test results, execution evidence, defect screenshots/logs, and test closure artifacts.
Support release validation, post-production verification, and business user support during deployment windows.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in Payment Bank or digital banking mobile application testing.
Exposure to Finacle testing or core banking validation activities.
Basic experience in ATM testing activities such as cash withdrawal, balance enquiry, mini statement, PIN validation, and transaction posting verification.
Understanding of payment systems such as IMPS, NEFT, UPI, wallet payments, bill payments, or internal fund transfer flows.
Exposure to middleware, API gateway, CBS integration, payment switch, or third-party service integrations.
Experience in mobile app testing across different devices, OS versions, network conditions, and user journeys.
Knowledge of negative testing, exception handling, transaction failure scenarios, timeout scenarios, and reversal workflows.
Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Zephyr, TestRail, or similar QA and Agile tools.
Basic understanding of security, authentication, OTP, device binding, session timeout, and transaction authorization flows in mobile banking applications.
Exposure to UAT coordination, production sanity testing, and release governance activities.
