Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide testing and automation strategy for newly developed features
• Participate in planning meetings and ensure quality at all levels of the SDLC
• Develop test plans, test environments, and test scenarios for new product features
• Maintain existing automation tests
• Investigate and resolve test failures
• Conduct code and test plan reviews to ensure quality of test cases, test coverage, and automation
• Increase automation confidence by reducing random test failures
• Work in an agile team along with developers
• Identify QA risks and mitigation plans to ensure product delivery as per release timelines
• Deliver fast, bug‑free software that delights customers and enhances productivity with limited oversight
• Maintain and improve quality control standards and best practices
• Provide constructive input on product and process improvements on an ongoing basis
• Follow approved software development life cycle practices and foster a productive and positive work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Five years of experience in software test automation or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in C#, Azure DevOps, Git, SQL, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress
• Working knowledge of REST API automation
• Familiarity with Azure services and cloud‑based testing
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (business and technical)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High computer literacy and enthusiasm for software development and automation technology
