Job summary

Aziro is seeking a QA Engineer to join our testing team for comprehensive manual testing across SDLC and STLC. The role involves designing test cases, evaluating defect life cycles, and applying testing techniques like regression, smoke, and integration testing using Java, Selenium, and API testing tools.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with REST APIs, Postman, and automation concepts, with exposure to Git, Maven, TestNG/JUnit, Jenkins, and Cucumber considered an advantage.

Role & responsibilities

Manual Testing

• Good understanding of software testing concepts.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Understanding of test case and test scenario creation.
• Knowledge of severity and priority.
• Understanding of defect life cycle.
• Knowledge of regression, smoke, sanity, functional, and integration testing.
• Basic understanding of boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Java

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Core Java.
• Understanding OOP concepts.
• Basic understanding of collections, exception handling, loops, conditions, and methods.

Selenium

• Basic hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Knowledge of Selenium locators such as XPath, CSS, ID, and Name.
• Understanding WebDriver, WebElement, browser interactions, alerts, frames, and dropdowns.
• Basic knowledge of automation framework concepts is preferred.

API Testing

• Basic understanding of REST APIs.
• Knowledge of HTTP methods.
• Understanding common HTTP status codes.
• Basic hands-on experience with Postman is preferred.
• Preferred Skills
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Basic knowledge of Git.
• Exposure to Maven, TestNG/JUnit, Jenkins, or Cucumber is an advantage.
• Basic SQL knowledge is an added advantage.
