Job summary

Aziro is seeking a Software QA Engineer focused on manual testing with growing exposure to Java and Selenium. You will verify software applications by crafting test cases, executing tests, and reporting defects. The role involves API testing basics, collaborating in an Agile/Scrum team, and learning automation concepts with Git, Maven, and Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing to ensure software quality across modules.
• Create and review test cases and test scenarios.
• Track defects and understand defect life cycle.
• Execute regression, smoke, sanity, functional, and integration tests.
• Collaborate with developers and QA in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Assist with API testing using REST concepts and Postman.

Manual Testing

• Good understanding of software testing concepts.

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Core Java.
• Understanding OOP concepts.
• Basic understanding of collections, exception handling, loops, conditions, and methods.

Selenium

• Basic hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Knowledge of Selenium locators such as XPath, CSS, ID, and Name.
• Understanding WebDriver, WebElement, browser interactions, alerts, frames, and dropdowns.
• Basic knowledge of automation framework concepts is preferred.

API Testing

• Basic understanding of REST APIs.
• Knowledge of HTTP methods.
• Understanding common HTTP status codes.
• Basic hands-on experience with Postman is preferred.
• Preferred Skills
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Basic knowledge of Git.
• Exposure to Maven, TestNG/JUnit, Jenkins, or Cucumber is an advantage.
