Global Payments seeks a Senior Software Test Analyst to join the Data Engineering team. You will work within an Agile SAFe framework, focusing on data and ETL testing across Snowflake, DataStage/Informatica, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).

You will design test scenarios, automate data validation, and collaborate with Product Owner, Design, Development, and Test to ensure quality and timely delivery. Strong SQL and communication skills are essential.

What you’ll own

• As part of an Agile team, you’ll contribute and support the team to deliver its commitments in a predictable way according to the SAFe definition and with the expected quality.
• The Test Analyst will report to the TDM/Data Platform QA Manager and work closely with each discipline within the Delivery Team (Product Owner, Design, Development and Test). In this role, you’ll demonstrate a thorough understanding of data testing and ETL testing in Snowflake, DataStage and AWS, GCP or MS Azure cloud technologies. The ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment is essential for success in this role.
• Highly skilled and motivated Software Data Test engineer with expertise in ETL testing and data validation using Data Stage or Informatica
• Skilled in testing applications deployed using AWS services like S3, EC2, Lamda
• Create automated workflows/pipelines using dbt, Robot or other data testing frameworks.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical problems and follow-up to closure
• Investigation and reporting of defects/bugs discovered, following re-test after fix in Rally/Jira.Delivering regular progress/status reports as required.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement Independently manage projects from start to finish, including gathering requirements, designing test scenarios, analyzing test results, and providing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans and defects using X-ray plugin in Jira
• Creates and maintains documentation for data testing solutions and processes.
• Ability to seek out and acquire enhanced skills on cutting-edge data testing best practices including but not limited to Cortex Code in Snowflake, Streamlit, DBT or other AI related frameworks
• Ability to handle escalations / project progress concerns for internal clients and manage them according to expectations.

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years as a data testing analyst working with Snowflake, dbt, Streamlit, Astronomer and related frameworks for data and ETL testing.
• 4+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on functional data and ETL testing and highly skilled experience in Functional and Regression test approach and Test documentation.
• Strong experience in writing SQL queries for data validation testing for at least 3 years
• Good understanding of data warehousing and datalake concepts
• Must have: Knowledge of Snowflake, AWS and multi-cloud experience. Experience with cloud-based database technologies and advanced database management systems.
• Good to have: Experience building automated scripts using any data testing framework like Robot, Great Expectations etc.
• AI/ML testing experience to validate models for accuracy, precision and performance metrics
• Performance and scalability testing for pipeline testing and Snowflake related queries and Airflow pipelines
• Nice to have: Knowledge in API validation tools, Python for data automation testing
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues.
• Good problem-solving skills, commitment to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
• Strong analytical skills, able to provide support to solve business or production problems.
• Highly collaborative, supportive and team player that demonstrates a proactive ‘can do’ attitude. Passion for sharing knowledge and best practices
• Ability to work in virtual teams that are spread across multiple locations.
• Fluent English (written/verbal)
