Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Software QA Engineer at an Intermediate level in Bengaluru. The role emphasizes automation, Python development, and strong collaboration in an Agile environment.

You will contribute to SDLC processes, build automation tools, and perform functional and regression testing while working with Jira/Confluence in a distributed team across locations. A 2+ year background in QA is expected with a focus on storage domain knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 2+ years experience in software QA and testing.
• Knowledge of Storage Domain concepts (Block/File/Object) preferred.
• Experience with Python-based automation is required.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitLab, Jenkins.
• Understanding of File systems, protocols, and data path testing.
• Strong communication and collaboration in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of SDLC and software testing methodologies.
• Develop and enhance test strategies, plans, and automation.
• Build tools to improve test automation framework efficiency.
• Program with Python to support QA workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum setup.

• Participate in functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform root-cause analysis.

What you’ll do:

• Knowledge of SDLC and experience in software testing methodology, tools, developing test strategy, test planning , test execution and test automation.
• Strong automation background to be able to develop tools required to enhance a test automation framework.
• Proficiency in programming in Python.
• Strong System Engineering Knowledge
• Strong Knowledge of AI workflows and AI tools
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of tools and processes for functional, regression, scale testing.
• Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use Jira, Confluence, and related software.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology and hands‑on participation in Scrum.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across a geographically distributed cross‑functional team.
