TekWissen is hiring a Software Product Management Senior Specialist for our Chennai office. This hybrid role (4 days in office) focuses on modernizing timekeeping systems and delivering Jira-driven controls across WFS, HRIS, and Payroll.

You will lead dashboards, timelines, and governance with senior Product Management leadership to align with strategic OKRs. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in product/delivery management, deep Jira expertise, and familiarity with workforce software or payroll

Qualifications

Job Title: Software Product Management Senior Specialist

Position Description:

• The Timekeeping Modernization Product Group delivers and supports critical systems for managing time, absence, and workforce management functions essential for paying the client's hourly and salaried employees.
• The objective is to modernize these systems, reduce technology complexity, and simplify business processes.
• In this role, you'll serve as the Jira subject-matter expert and delivery support specialist for the Timekeeping Modernization Program, working with Product Management leadership to support implementation of Workforce Software (WFS).
• You'll maintain the program's Jira environment — dashboards, boards, and workflows giving leadership real-time visibility into status, risk, and deadlines — bridging complex labor requirements and technical payroll capabilities. You'll use advanced Jira administration skills (plus SharePoint, MS Teams, Microsoft 365) to track scope, risks, and issues, focusing on due date tracking, follow-up, and escalation support.
• Strong attention to detail is needed to synthesize complex information into dashboard-ready updates while supporting strategic planning and stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Jira Administration, Dashboards & Deadline Management Support configuration and improvement of Jira projects, boards, workflows, and custom fields.
• Build executive- and team-level dashboards, filters, and reports for status, due dates, and at-risk deliverables. Maintain deadline tracking across epics, stories, and tasks, identifying slippage risk proactively. Support escalation workflows, routing at-risk deadlines through governance channels (L1/L2/L3).
• Configure automation rules (SLA reminders, due-date notifications, auto-escalation).
• Maintain traceability between epics/sagas and stories/tasks with clear owners, due dates, and status.
• Release Planning & Program Execution Coordinate deliverables supporting timely delivery of WFS configuration.
• Support delivery planning, including risk, issue, and change management tracked through Jira.
• Develop project/release plans outlining scope, timing, and ownership.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure data flow between WFS, HRIS, and Payroll, including cutover plans.
• Provide Gantt charts, burndowns, and timeline visualizations for governance use.
• Participate in daily stand-ups using Jira as the source of truth.
• Follow change control protocol for upgrades and configuration shifts.
• Communication Assign actions, owners, and due dates on cross-project dependencies (vendor management, integrations, data migration), escalating proactively when at risk.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and Business Owners to ensure plans and deadlines are understood and resolved.
• Strategic Support & Product Management Partner with Product Management leadership to translate strategic objectives into Jira-tracked plans and support solution validation.
• Support communication of product vision, strategy, and roadmaps. Collaborate with Product Managers to define OKRs aligned with business goals.
• Help prioritize and manage the product backlog across WFS, HRIS, and Payroll. Facilitate discussions translating strategic ideas into measurable requirements.
• Continuous Improvement Support best practices in Jira administration, improving dashboards, workflows, and reporting.
• Support Agile methodologies for sprint and release execution.
• Assist in Agile ceremony artifact creation within Jira.
• Participate in roadmap discussions and requirements prioritization.
• Support prioritization of deliverables in the Jira backlog.
• Validate that sagas/epics are broken into clear, testable stories or tasks with accurate due dates.
