Qualifications

• Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, authentication (API keys, Bearer tokens, OAuth 2.0) and webhooks.
• Experience with JSON parsing, data structures, and schema mapping.
• Familiarity with Zoho CRM and Apollo.io APIs is a plus; basic SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Git/GitHub and Postman for testing and version control.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable REST API integrations between Apollo.io and Zoho CRM to enable automated lead capture, contact enrichment, and bidirectional pipeline synchronization.
• Develop end-to-end automated workflows for lead assignment, deal progression, task triggers, and sales notifications using scripts and webhooks.
• Parse, clean, transform, and map complex multi-nested JSON payloads between third-party services and database schemas.
• Implement retry logic, data deduplication, payload validation, and error-handling to manage API rate limits and prevent data corruption.
• Conduct functional and integration testing with Postman, validating endpoints, headers, authentication, and error responses.
• Write structured SQL queries to store, reconcile, and audit synchronized sales records across databases.
• Troubleshoot sync bottlenecks, payload mismatches, and token refresh issues across active integration pipelines.
• Document data mapping rules, endpoint configurations, and automation flowcharts for maintainability.

We are seeking an analytically driven Software Development Intern to engineer and maintain direct API integrations and automated sales pipelines. This role centers on architecting seamless data synchronization workflows between Apollo.io, Zoho CRM, and internal databases to eliminate manual data entry and streamline outbound and inbound sales operations.

The position demands a solid understanding of core programming logic, structured data handling, and backend communication. Rather than generic UI design, your primary focus will be designing webhook listeners, mapping data schemas between distinct platforms, handling API rate limits, and implementing error-handling pipelines to ensure zero data discrepancies across our business systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable REST API integrations connecting Apollo.io with Zoho CRM to facilitate automated lead capture, contact enrichment, and bidirectional pipeline synchronization.
• Build end-to-end automated workflows for lead assignment, deal stage progressions, task triggers, and sales notifications using custom scripts and platform webhooks.
• Write clean, modular, and maintainable scripts to parse, clean, transform, and map complex, multi-nested JSON payloads between third-party services and database schemas.
• Implement robust error-handling mechanisms, including retry logic, data deduplication, and payload validation checkpoints to handle API rate limits and prevent data corruption.

Requirements

• Completed or pursuing a bachelors/diploma degree in computer science, Information Technology, MCA, or a related engineering stream.
• Strong algorithmic thinking and core programming logic, with proficiency in at least one scripting or backend language (Python or JavaScript / Node.js preferred).
• Solid understanding of RESTful architecture, HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE), status codes, authentication protocols (API Keys, Bearer Tokens, OAuth 2.0), and Webhooks.
• Practical fluency in data handling, particularly with JSON parsing, data structures, schema mapping, and payload manipulation.
• Familiarity with, or a strong willingness to master, Zoho CRM (including Deluge scripting workflows) and Apollo.io API capabilities.
• Fundamental knowledge of databases, with the ability to write foundational SQL queries to fetch, update, and validate business records.
• Hands-on exposure to development tools, specifically Git/GitHub for version control and Postman for API inspection and testing.
• Hands-on experience developing academic, capstone, or personal software projects demonstrating core programming principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical logic, document workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
