Aptiv is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead to guide a team building C++ based resimulation solutions for ADAS analysis. This hands-on leadership role combines software development, mentoring, and delivery ownership in a high-performance Linux environment.

You will drive design, reviews, and optimization across features, ensuring scalable, production-quality code and close collaboration with product owners and validation teams.

• Develop scalable Linux-based applications and automation for HPC and/or cloud environments.
• Drive engineering best practices for clean code, modularity, maintainability, testability and performance.
• Support resimulation-based analysis of ADAS perception, sensor processing and control algorithms on large-scale datasets.
• Mentor engineers, improve technical competency and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, ADAS developers, validation and platform teams.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and engineering productivity.

Software Engineering Team Lead – C++ / ADAS Resimulation Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead to lead a team developing C++-based resimulation solutions, applications and automation for large-scale ADAS analysis. This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining software development, team leadership and delivery ownership. The Team Lead will actively design, develop, debug, test and optimize C++ software alongside the team, while guiding engineers, driving execution and ensuring software quality.

• Lead and technically guide a team of software engineers while continuing to contribute directly to development.

• Drive software design, code reviews, debugging, root‑cause analysis and performance optimization.
• Develop scalable Linux-based applications and automation for HPC and/or cloud environments.
• Drive engineering best practices for clean code, modularity, maintainability, testability and performance.
• Support resimulation-based analysis of ADAS perception, sensor processing and control algorithms on large-scale datasets.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Robotics or related discipline.
• 10–12 years of overall Software Engineering experience.
• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on C++ software development experience, with strong knowledge of modern C++.
• Strong experience developing large-scale, production-quality C++ applications or frameworks.
• Strong Linux application development, debugging and performance optimization experience.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, multithreading and software architecture.
• Experience technically leading software engineers while remaining hands‑on with development.
• Experience with software development lifecycle, testing, CI/CD and software quality practices.
• Experience with HPC, cloud, parallel or distributed computing environments.
• Strong problem‑solving, technical communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in ADAS, Automated Driving, automotive software or resimulation.
• Experience with camera, radar or LiDAR data and large automotive datasets.
• Familiarity with embedded systems and automotive software development.
