We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Leader to join the Avionics – Core Services & Libraries organization in Bangalore. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of middleware, core software libraries, and platform‑level software applications supporting Collins Aerospace avionics products. You will combine strong technical expertise with people leadership and program execution, guiding engineering teams through complex New Product Development programs and ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives. Lead software engineering teams by providing clear technical direction, purpose, and motivation.
Provide technical leadership for the development of middleware, core software libraries, and platform software applications.
Lead software development across the product lifecycle, from initial planning through verification, validation, and certification.
Guide teams developing software for real‑time operating systems, preferably VxWorks.
Drive strong engineering practices, technical reviews, software quality, and continuous improvement.
Develop and execute project plans, schedules, budgets, and delivery strategies.
Drive execution across Scope, Schedule, Cost, Safety, and Quality objectives.
Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure timely resolution of technical challenges.
Present project status, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure successful delivery of complex and integrated software solutions.
