Job summary

Careernet in India is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with strong web automation skills. You will work with C#.NET or Python or Java, and use Selenium WebDriver or Playwright to automate web app and API tests.

You will contribute to maintaining and extending automation frameworks, perform manual testing when needed, and participate in BDD-style development within Azure DevOps. ISTQB certification preferred; you will collaborate in Scrum or Kanban teams across product and engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in web automation testing using Selenium WebDriver or Playwright.
• Hands-on in Web App and Web API automation testing.
• Experience maintaining or extending test automation frameworks.
• Ability to perform manual testing.
• Experience in BDD workflow with Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical and estimation skills.
• Experience with AGILE methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

Responsibilities

• Automate test cases in BDD format based on specifications in MS Azure DevOps.
• Analyze failed test cases, manage defects, and drive resolution.
• Maintain libraries and adapt tests for website changes.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality across the SDLC.

Role & responsibilities

• Proficient in any one of the programming languages C#.NET/ Python / Java.
• Hands on experience with Web automation test frameworks like Selenium WebDriver/Playwright.
• Hands on experience with Web App and Web API automation testing.
• Prior experience in maintaining or extending Test automation frameworks modules / libraries
• Able to perform manual testing also.
• Automating test cases in BDD format based on specifications in MS Azure DevOps
• Proficient in understanding and analyzing the requirements and providing the estimates.
• Planning and executing test case adaption based on those requirements.
• Maintaining the libraries and adapt test cases for Website changes.

• Analyzing failed test cases, follow the defect management process and dynamic in resolving issues.
• Strong test design and review skills
• Must have hands-on experience in Git, CI/CD pipelines.
• Passion for clean code and pragmatic, elegant design and proficient in providing technical solutions.
• Strong exposure to Development life cycle and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.)
• ISTQB Certified or equivalent experience in Web testing
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
