Job summary

ITC Infotech in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Test Automation/SDET professional to design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.

The role requires hands-on work with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, and SQL, plus integration into Jenkins or Azure DevOps pipelines; you will mentor juniors and drive quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Test Automation/SDET roles (7+ years for Lead positions).
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
• Expertise in OOP concepts, collections, design patterns, and coding best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Pytest, Jest, or Playwright Test.
• Strong API automation experience using RestAssured, Karate, Postman/Newman, or Python requests.
• Proficiency in SQL, joins, aggregations, and database validation.
• Experience with Git, pull requests, branching strategies, and code reviews.
• Knowledge of Docker, Selenium Grid, AWS/Azure, and cloud-based test execution.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Understanding of performance testing (JMeter, k6, LoadRunner) and security testing concepts (OWASP Top 10, ZAP, SAST, DAST).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
• Build and execute automated test suites using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, Postman/Newman, Karate, or similar tools.
• Develop reusable automation components and ensure framework scalability and maintainability.
• Perform API validation, database testing, and end-to-end system verification.
• Integrate automated tests into Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and eliminate flaky tests through effective debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Implement parallel execution strategies and optimize test execution time.
• Manage test data, environments, and service virtualization using tools such as WireMock.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality releases.
• Review code, mentor junior engineers, and drive quality engineering standards.
