To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Development and delivery of high‑quality software solutions using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimised for performance.
• Collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Participating in code reviews and promoting a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contributing to the organisation’s technology communities.
• Adhering to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementing effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
• Leading a team performing complex tasks, setting objectives, coaching employees, and managing performance and reward outcomes.

Qualifications

• Expertise in object‑oriented design and programming techniques, including design principles and patterns.
• Extensive experience with Core Java, J2EE design, Spring framework, and large‑scale banking applications.
• Strong microservices development experience using REST and SOAP, in Kubernetes/AWS environments.
• Deep knowledge of RDBMS, SQL query writing, and logical reasoning.
• Excellent debugging, problem‑solving and performance‑tuning skills.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and configuration management using Jenkins/Gitlab or similar tools.
• Solid web application development skills, including React/Angular, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 and Node.js.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in large, collaborative teams.
• Flexibility to react to changing priorities and a willingness to step outside of role boundaries.
• Experience supporting and maintaining production environments with distributed systems and highly available services.
• Experience with observability/monitoring solutions such as AppDynamics, Splunk, ELK or similar.
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum).

Desirable Skills

• Use of GenAI / co‑pilot tools for code generation, defect triage and log summarisation.
• Experience building and testing API contracts with OAS/Swagger, Pact or consumer‑driven contract testing.
• Exposure to performance testing with JMeter or Gatling and an understanding of OWASP principles.
• Knowledge of SonarQube or other code quality tools.
• Experience with AWS cloud‑based application development and deployments.

Work Location

This role will be based out of Pune.
