Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA is seeking a skilled Java developer in Bengaluru to design and implement robust microservices within a Spring-based stack. The role involves delivering reliable integration tests, mentoring teammates, and driving standardization across projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Core Java and Spring ecosystem required.
• Proficient with JDBC and DB concepts.
• Experience with TDD/BDD and CI/CD tools (Maven, Git, Jenkins).
• Hands-on with ORM (Hibernate) and PL/SQL procedures.
• Front-end exposure with Angular (latest version).
• Knowledge of SOA/Microservices (REST, SOAP) and related challenges.
• Experience with application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic).
• Mentor teammates, drive standardization, and improve processes.
• Exposure to Cloud, Docker, IaaS/PaaS environments.
• Experience delivering development, testing, deployment, and support strategies in complex distributed environments.
• Experience with production monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core Java applications within Spring framework.
• Perform integration tests in Spring context with JDBC/database awareness.
• Implement TDD/BDD practices and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with ORM (Hibernate) and PL/SQL procedures; ensure data integrity.
• Contribute to microservices architecture (REST/SOAP) and API design.
• Collaborate across teams; mentor peers and promote best practices.
• Leverage Cloud/Docker environments and define deployment strategies.
• Ensure production readiness with monitoring tools and incident handling.
