Job summary

SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA is seeking an experienced IT professional to develop highly responsive web interfaces and deliver end-to-end features across UI, APIs, and databases. You will act as an individual contributor, collaborating with product teams and designers, and proactively identify and fix inefficiencies.

The role emphasizes strong Java/Spring Boot and modern front-end skills (TypeScript, React/Angular, HTML/CSS) with a focus on design patterns and SOLID principles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of IT experience with strong hands-on skills in Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks.
• Experience in building responsive UI, unit and E2E tests in React and Java, and API integration.
• Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles; ability to code in a standards-based way.
• Ability to work independently as an IC and collaborate with product/design teams

Responsibilities

• Develop new highly responsive, web-based user interfaces.
• Contribute as an IC and build end-to-end features (UI/UX, APIs, database).
• Challenge inefficient practices and drive innovation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development of new highly responsive, web-based user interface
• Work as an Individual Contributor and code/develop end-to-end features (UI/UX, APIs, Database)
• Be innovative towards any problem and identify and challenge existing inefficient practices
• Be collaborative and work as a good team player with all team members. Have a positive mindset and open thoughts.
• Work with product team and graphic designers
• Be proactive towards raising any alerts, issues or risks
• Develop a flexible and well-structured front-end architecture, along with the APIs to support it
• Responsible to write API based on the requirements

Profile required

• Candidate should have 3+ years of experience in IT and strong knowledge with hands on following skills: Strong in Java, Spring boot, TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML & CSS, JUnit, GitHub, Docker, Jenkins
• Strong in writing unit and E2E test cases in React and Java
• Must have knowledge in Design Patterns, SOLID Principles, and should be able to code using standard industry coding practices
• Must be able to work as an independent contributor
• Good to have hands-on over MS-Playwright or Cypress & Co-pilot or other AI tools
