About the Role:

The team: Our Engineering team develops and maintains modern, cloud-based applications and AI-powered solutions that support global business operations. Team members collaborate across Product, Architecture, QA, and DevOps functions to build reliable, secure, and scalable solutions. Responsibilities and impact:

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. The SDET will be responsible for ensuring that all product releases meet the highest quality standards and align with business requirements. You will work closely with software engineers, product owners, architects, and subject matter experts to understand product functionality, design effective test strategies, and build robust automation frameworks. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-volume distributed systems while contributing to automation, quality engineering, and continuous delivery practices.


Key Responsibilities


  • System & Domain Expertise: Gain deep knowledge of product requirements, architecture, code flows, and Asset Management/Post-Trade processing to inform development and quality processes.

  • Automation Strategy & Frameworks: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive automated test frameworks for functional, API, integration, regression, and performance testing, leveraging Python scripting to drive release efficiency.

  • Test Execution & Validation: Build and execute automated test cases for high-volume, distributed, service-oriented systems while conducting thorough API (including performance validation using JMeter), database, and end-to-end testing.

  • Collaboration & Design Input: Participate in design discussions, contribute to Agile ceremonies (sprints, planning, retrospectives), and provide recommendations on testability and quality improvements across the lifecycle.

  • Infrastructure & Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and release teams to ensure continuous product quality.

  • Process, Research & Leadership: Research modern testing methodologies, maintain accurate documentation and status reporting, and assist with technical interviews and hiring.


What we’re looking for:

Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Education, Core QA & Agile Skills: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or IT with 2-5 years of SDET/QA experience, emphasizing expertise in software testing methodologies, API performance testing using JMeter, QA best practices, database testing, SQL, and data validation, supported by excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • GenAI & AI Ecosystem Proficiency: Possesses specialized experience testing Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, Chatbots, Copilots, Prompt Engineering, and RAG solutions (including AI response validation/evaluation), with deep familiarity in the Model Context Protocol (MCP), Agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, Semantic Kernel, LangGraph), Vector Databases, Semantic Search, and major AI platforms (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, Claude, and Google Gemini).


Preferred skills


  • Infrastructure, Cloud & CI/CD: Proficiency with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, combined with exposure to CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.

  • System Architecture & Testing: A solid understanding of service-oriented and event-driven architecture patterns, supported by proven experience in testing high-volume, distributed systems.

  • Domain & Emerging Technology: Knowledge of Web 3.0 concepts, Distributed Ledger Technologies, or Blockchain ecosystems, alongside operational exposure to Asset Management, Post-Trade Processing, Financial Markets, or Reference Data platforms.
