Job summary

Mitratech in Hyderabad, India is seeking an experienced QA professional to join our global team. The role focuses on both manual and automated testing, with emphasis on modern automation using Playwright and TypeScript.

You will own test strategy, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product and engineering to deliver high-quality features within sprints.

The ideal candidate brings strong SQL, API testing, and familiarity with CI/CD, TestRail, and Agile methods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality assurance, both manual and automated.
• Experience with Playwright and Typescript.
• Experience using AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot).
• Strong SQL for data verification.
• Familiar with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
• Proficient with Git and CI/CD; ADO pipeline a plus.
• Experience with non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility).

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance - both manual and automated testing.
• Expertise with automation tools and languages: Playwright, Typescript preferred
• Experience in leveraging AI-powered development tools (e.g. Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test creation and analysis.
• Command of SQL and ability to apply that knowledge for data verification.
• Exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Proficiency with modern source control (Git) and CI/CD practices ; ADO pipeline knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility) is advantageous.

• Demonstrated sense of ownership , taking initiative from problem identification through resolution.

Communication & Process

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills , with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategic vision to diverse internal stakeholders.
• Proactive in identifying and communicating potential roadblocks, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership and relevant parties.
• Deep familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and proficiency with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail).
• You will utilize latest versions of our technology stack and be encouraged to think creatively in order to produce effective testing solutions.
• You will produce quality, reusable and maintainable automated test code that reduces the need for manual test efforts throughout our development cycles.
• You will perform manual and exploratory testing against functionality developed by members of your Agile team.
• You will work closely with the product manager and scrum team to help deliver high quality features inside of agreed timeframes.
• You will provide technical mentorship and upskilling to scrum team members and across functional boundaries where appropriate.
• You will consistently challenge Acceptance Criteria and Test Coverage.
• You will contribute to a culture of high quality, personal ownership and customer-focused execution.
