The Position

We are looking for a motivated and collaborative Software Engineer to join the Tools and Automation Team working on the Virtual Rack platform - an internal development tool aligned with hardware systems and customer‑facing workflows.

This role is primarily backend‑focused and involves building scalable platform services, automation frameworks, and system integrations rather than simple CRUD applications. You will work closely with infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and hardware‑interfacing tooling in a hands‑on engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain backend services using GoLang or Python
• Develop automation workflows and system‑level tooling
• Enhance and optimize existing software frameworks for performance and reliability
• Design and implement REST APIs and service integrations
• Develop React/Angular components for internal tools where required
• Write and maintain shell scripts on Linux environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes
• Troubleshoot complex production and system‑level issues
• Maintain unit tests and improve code coverage
• Document technical designs and requirements in Jira and Confluence
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum development cycles

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Strong hands‑on experience in GoLang or Python
• Advanced Linux usage and debugging
• Strong shell scripting skills
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Production experience with Docker and containerized deployments
• Working knowledge of JavaScript (tooling/integration use cases)
• Experience with React or Angular
• Experience with SQL and data modeling
• Strong troubleshooting and system‑level debugging skills
• Comfortable working close to infrastructure, tooling and hardware‑aligned systems
• Ability to independently own backend components end‑to‑end
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• Kubernetes and AWS experience
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
