Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior IT Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support its global enterprise network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Cisco enterprise networking and next-generation firewall technologies, with the ability to independently troubleshoot complex networking issues across geographically distributed environments.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years IT experience, 5+ years as Network Engineer/Senior Network Engineer.
• Strong Cisco Enterprise Networking expertise (Catalyst, Nexus, Routers, Switching).
• Hands-on with Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls; cloud networking in Azure/AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across global locations.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and enterprise network technologies.
• Deploy, administer, and optimize Palo Alto Networks or Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting involving Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, routing protocols, VPNs, and network security.
• Support highly available hybrid enterprise environments spanning on-premises infrastructure and Azure/AWS cloud platforms.
• Perform root cause analysis for network incidents and implement preventive improvements.
• Design and implement network upgrades, refreshes, and infrastructure expansion projects.
• Maintain network documentation, diagrams, operational procedures, and technical standards.
• Collaborate with global infrastructure teams and provide remote support for geographically distributed sites.
• Participate in after-hours support and occasional travel as required.

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Network Engineer to design, implement, secure, and support Panasonic's global enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Cisco enterprise networking and next-generation firewall technologies, with the ability to independently troubleshoot complex networking issues across geographically distributed environments. This role requires strong technical ownership, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams while supporting mission‑critical network infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For:

• Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across global locations.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and enterprise network technologies.

Qualifications

• 8–15 years of overall IT experience with at least 5 years in Network Engineer/Senior Network Engineer roles.
• Strong expertise in Cisco Enterprise Networking (Catalyst, Nexus, Routers, Switching, Routing).
• Hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Networks (preferred) or Fortinet FortiGate firewalls.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, HSRP, OSPF, BGP, QoS, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, IPSec, AAA, RADIUS, MFA, and SSO.
• Experience supporting large‑scale, geographically distributed enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with Wireshark, SolarWinds, network monitoring, and packet analysis tools.
• Understanding of Azure or AWS networking concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

• Current CCNP Certification (Required)
• Palo Alto (PCNSA/PCNSE) or Fortinet NSE Certification
• Azure networking experience
• Experience with network automation and scripting
• Familiarity with Generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to improve operational efficiency and troubleshooting
