Job summary

Insurity's Next Software Engineer II is a role that owns development items and bug fixes from design through delivery, working with limited supervision and applying sound engineering practices across coding, unit testing, documentation, impact assessment, and troubleshooting.

This position partners with QA and cross-functional teammates to develop solutions for simple to moderately complex problems, and to support reliable, maintainable software for Insurity customers.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience recommended.
• Bachelor's degree in related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).

Responsibilities

• Participate in SDLC estimation and development processes
• Design solutions to problems/defects with minimal supervision
• After 18 Months: Able to understand and develop use cases to supplement business cases for technical development items
• Development: Follows Insurity standards for coding, documentation and impact assessments
• Development: Provides first level of technical troubleshooting and defect remediation for customer, BA and QA reported problems
• Development: Develop and present solutions for assigned problems and enhancements (basic to moderate complexity)

Job Summary
